President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia attends the Reception dedicated to the Day of German Unity
On October 3, by the invitation of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany H.E. Ernst Peter Fischer, the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Prof. Dr. Merab Turava attended the reception on the occasion of the Day of German Unity.
The Prime-Minister of Georgia, Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, Mayor of Tbilisi, representatives of the executive and legislative branches and diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia attended the event. October 3 was announced as the Day of Unity of Eastern and Western Germany in 1990.
Unification of Germany was preceded by the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989 as a result of peaceful revolution.
