TAMAZ TSABUTASHVILI
FORMER JUSTICEBorn on the 7th of August 1964 in Sighnaghi region, Georgia.
Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili graduated from the faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (1982-1990).
In 1981- 1983 he was an agricultural production worker at Gardabani region.
In 1985-1987 he fulfilled his mandatory military service.
From April to August 1992 Mr. Tsabutashvili was an intern at the Tbilisi Transport Prosecutor's office. He underwent an internship in the Office of Prosecutor of Tbilisi for the position of a prosecutor of supervision department of transportation legality (1992-1993).
In March of 1993 Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili was appointed Prosecutor of supervision department of transportation legality in the Office of Prosecutor of Tbilisi. In July of the same year he became Chief investigator of Tbilisi interregional Office of Prosecutor.
In May, 1993 he was an investigator of special case department of investigation department of Office of General Prosecutor (12.1993-06.1994) and in 1994 became an investigator of Investigation Department of Special Case of Office of Prosecutor of Republic of Georgia (06.1994-03.0995).
In 1995 -1996 Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili was a Prosecutor-criminalist of Criminal Department of Investigation Department of Office of General Prosecutor and in 1996-2003 he occupied the position of the Prosecutor of Investigation Department of Kvemo Kartli Regional Prosecutor.
Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvli worked at the Office of General Prosecutor and the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (2003-2004).
From 2004 to 2011 he occupied the position of Kakheti regional Prosecutor.
In 2003 Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili successfully passed the qualification exam for employees of Prosecutor’s office.
In 2006 he was awarded the Order Of Honor.
In 2011 Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili occupied the position of the Vice-president of the Department of Organizational and Legal Provision at the High Council of Justice of Georgia.
Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili was appointed the member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia on the basis of the Decree N351 issued on July 4, 2011 by the President of Georgia on July 4, 2011. He started to exercise the authority of the Judge on July 26, 2011, from the day of oath-taking.
Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili has an excellent command of Georgian, Russian and English languages.
Mr. Tamaz Tsabutashvili is married and has two children.
