Visit of the delegation of the European Parliament to the Constitutional Court of Georgia
Today, the members of the European Parliament: co-Chair of the Georgia-EU Parliamentary Association Committee Ms. Marina Kaljurand MEP and the rapporteur on Georgia Mr. Sven Mikser MEP, as well the Chairperson the EU Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Ms. Maka Botchorishvili and members of the Delegation visited the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
The members of the Delegation were welcomed by President of the Constitutional Court Prof. Dr. Merab Turava and Vice Presidents of the Constitutional Court - Mr. Vasil Roinishvili and Ms. Manana Kobakhidze.
The parties discussed the competencies and the rules on proceedings of the Constitutional Court. Among other things, the conversation at the meeting touched upon the relations between Georgia and the European Union and the role of the judiciary in the implementation of the state's European integration.
