Visit of the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia to Romania
On March 27-28, President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Prof. Dr. Merab Turava together with the Head of the Secretariat of the Court Mr. George Lomtadze participated in the opening of the event devoted to the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the 1923 Constitution of Romania in Bucharest.
At the solemn event which was held at the Palace of the Parliament of Romania, speeches were made by the President of Romania, the Prime Minister of Romania, Chairpersons of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, Presidents of the Constitutional and Cassation Courts, as well as the Presidents of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.
Presidents of Constitutional Courts and relevant institutions from Europe and various countries of the world, as well as the representatives of the public sector, academia and International Organisations of Romania, attended the event.
