Meeting with the Students in the frame of the Human Rights Law University Week
Vice President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Ms. Manana Kobakhidze participated in the working meeting, which was held in the frame of the Human Rights Law University Week at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The meeting was attended by the students of the Faculty of Law at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The students were addressed by the Judge James M. Redwine from the United State of America and Vice President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Ms. Manana Kobakhidze.
Ms. Manana Kobakhidze focused on the role of the judge and in general, the Constitutional Court in implementing Human Rights protection standards. She introduced to students key decisions of the Court, which guarantee universally recognised basic constitutional rights. Invited guests answered the questions put by the students at the end of the meeting.
The event was held in the frame of the USAID Rule of Law Program.
