Oath-taking Ceremony of Mr. Khvicha Kikilashvili
Today, an oath-taking ceremony of a newly-appointed Judge Mr. Khvicha Kikilashvili was held at the Constitutional Court of Georgia. The event was attended by the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Mr. Zaza Tavadze, as well as the representatives of the Apparatus of Constitutional Court and media.
According to the Article 9 of the Organic Law of Georgia on the Constitutional Court of Georgia the term of office of a member of the Constitutional Court shall commence from the date of his/her oath-taking.
During 2006-2020 Mr. Khvicha Kikilashvili exercised the authority of the judge in the Common Courts, in particular: Sighnaghi Regional Court (2006-2011), Khelvachauri Regional Court (2011-2013 and 2017-2019), Batumi City Court (2013-2016). Since 2019 he has been working at the Chamber of Criminal Law Cases at Tbilisi Court of Appeals; During 1994-2006 he occupied various position at the General Prosecutor’s Office.
In 1994 Mr. Khvicha Kikilashvili graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
On April 3, 2020 Mr. Khvicha Kikilashvili was appointed as a member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia by the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
