TEIMURAZ TUGHUSHI

Vice President, Chairperson of the Second Board of the Constitutional Court of Georgia

Born on September 15, 1976 in Lanchkhuti.

Graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law (1998).

Took a Qualification Exam of Assistant to Judge (1999), Qualification Exam for the personnel of the General Prosecutor’s Office (2004) and Judge Qualification Exam (2006).                                                                       

Head of Guria Service Dealing with Local Bodies at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia (1999-2003).

Head of the Directorate for Reviewing Legal Issues and Complaints at District Taxation Inspection of Ozurgeti (2003-2004).

Deputy Head of the Directorate for Reviewing Legal Issues and Complaints at District Taxation Inspection of Poti (2004-2005);  

Head of the Directorate for Reviewing Legal Issues and Complaints at Tbilisi Tax Inspection (2005-2006).

Consultant at the Department of Disciplinary Administration of Justice at High Council of Justice of Georgia (2006).           

Chief Advisor at the Department of Legal Research and Provision at the Constitutional Court of Georgia (2006-2010), Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Research and Provision (2010-2014), Head of the Department of Legal Research and Provision (2014-2016).

Was appointed the member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia under the Ruling N 20/PL of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Georgia. He started to exercise the authority of the Judge on October 2, 2016 from the day of oath-taking.

Has a good command of Russian and English Languages.
