Besik Loladze

Besik Loladze

Former Vice President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia

Born on March 10, 1975.

In 1995, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and in 2001, he completed his postgraduate studies with honors at the Department of Legal Theory and Constitutional Law of the same university.

From February 1998 to July 2001, he worked at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia as an advisor in the Public Law Legal Department, Deputy Head of the Public Law Department, Head of the Department for Work with Local Government and Self-Government Bodies, Head of the Department for Work with Local Bodies and State Registry, Head of the Department for Expertise and Registration of Normative Acts.

From July 2001 to March 2004, he worked as an assistant to the chairman, head of the legal support department and head of the court staff at the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

In 2002, he was invited as a research associate at the Institute of Municipal Sciences of the University of Potsdam and carried out scientific research (DAAD scholarship holder).

From March 2004 to February 2005, he worked as a Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia.

From March 2005 to July 2006, he was a member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia.

On June 26, 2006, he was appointed as a member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia by the Supreme Court of Georgia, and on October 2, he was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court and the Chairman of the Second Collegium.

He speaks Russian and German.
