Zaur Jinjolava

Former Judje of the Constitutional Court of Georgia

Born on September 4, 1953 in the village of Chkaduashi, Zugdidi district.

In 1962-67, he studied at the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

In 1968-71, he completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Legal Theory and State Law of Tbilisi State University.

Since 1971, he has worked at the Department of Legal Theory and State Law of Tbilisi State University, first as a teacher, then as an associate professor, and since 1994 as a professor.

On June 25, 1996, the Parliament of Georgia elected him as a member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

In 1999, by decree of the President of Georgia, he was awarded the class rank of judge of the highest qualification class.

He has a wife, four children and two grandchildren.
