Joint Collection Book by Georgian and German authors “European and Constitutional Standards of Human Rights Protection“ Published

A joint Collection by Georgian and German authors “European and Constitutional Standards of Human Rights Protection“ was published in English, based on the findings of the Summer School on “European and Constitutional Standards of Human Rights Protection”. The event was held on August 4-10, 2019 within the frame of cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Georgia, Wurzburg University and Grigol Robakidze University.

The lectures were delivered by Georgian and German professors and practicing lawyers. Georgian students and public servants, as well as German students from Wurzburg and Jena Universities participated in the Summer School.

The materials delivered by Georgian and German scientists and practicing lawyers in the framework of the summer school are represented in the collection, being related to the actual issues of human rights protection, including the system of the EU human rights protection, the European standards of privacy and data protection, the importance of the ECtHR case law in national legal systems, right to the property and inheritance, review of the landmark decisions of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, etc.

The Summer School was held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
