MS. MANANA KOBAKHIDZE LEAVES ON A WORKING VISIT TO VILNIUS
The Secretary to the Constitutional Court of Georgia Ms. Manana Kobakhidze left on a working visit to Lietuva, where she will participate in the XX International Congress of European and Comparative Constitutional Law. The event is hosted by the Constitutional Court of Lietuva.
The Congress will be dedicated to formulating the concept of democracy in the constitutional justice, the peculiarities of its definitions. Leading law professionals from International Organizations as well as decision-maker persons from the state institutions and justices from higher national courts are participating in the event.
The Congress was opened on October 3, 2019. Ms. Manana Kobakhidze will deliver a presentation before the participants of the Congress and will focus on the principles of democracy, as a fundamental element of the Constitutional System of Georgia and will review the case law of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, where the principles of democracy was considered as one of the essential aspects of the constitutional legal order.
Congress will complete its activity on October 5.
It is noteworthy that in autumn 2020 the International Congress of European and Comparative Constitutional Law will be held in Batumi, hosted by the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
