Plenum of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Elects President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia

Today, a Plenary session was held at the Constitutional Court of Georgia, where Mr. Merab Turava was elected as the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

During a secret ballot, five members of the Plenum of the Constitutional Court of Georgia voted for the candidacy of Mr. Merab Turava. In accordance with the paragraph 3 of the Article 60 of the Constitution of Georgia, the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia is elected with 5 years’ term.

Furthermore, the Plenum of the Constitutional Court of Georgia elected Mr. Vasil Roinishvili as a Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and a chairman of the First Board.
