On October 24, 2025 at 12:00 a merits hearing will be held at the Constitutional Court of Georgia on the case of 'Vasil Zhizhiashvili and Marine Kapanadze v. the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia' (Constitutional Complaint No. 1800).
Disputed norms on the case under review, on the one hand, restrict the possibility of bringing items intended for demonstration (such as banners, posters, etc.) into the Parliament Palace of Georgia without permission by the Administration of the Parliament; and, on the other hand, prohibit the display of banners and the distribution of information materials within the same area, as well as posting or other placement of materials intended for demonstration (such as posters, banners, inscriptions and others).
