VISIT OF THE AMBASSADOR OF FRANCE TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF GEORGIA

Today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Georgia Diégo Colas visited the Constitutional Court of Georgia, being hosted by the Vice President of the Constitutional Court Mr. Teimuraz Tughushi. 

Taking into account his profound  background  and experience in law, Mr. Diégo Colas got interested with the system of the constitutional control in Georgia, its competence and practical aspects of the constitutional litigation. Mr. Teimuraz Tughushi provided detailed information to the Ambassador upon the activity of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, procedures  of the constitutional litigation and the effects of the court decisions. 

Ambassador of the Republic of France expressed his respect towards the activity of the Constitutional Court and positively noted the role of the Constitutional Court in the process of strengthening the rule of law in Georgia.  At the meeting, willingness for deepening cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of France to Georgia and the Constitutional Court of Georgia was expressed.
