Visit of the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia to Germany
On February 7, 2022 the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia paid an official working visit at the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany in Karlsruhe. In the frame of the visit Prof. Dr. Merab Turava hold a meeting with the President of Federal Constitutional Court of Germany Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth.
The meeting was of introductory character, during which the parties discussed cooperation opportunities between the Constitutional Courts of Georgia and Germany. Actual issues of the constitutional control and legal proceedings as well as the case law of the constitutional courts were discussed.
Besides, in the frame of the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Prof. Dr. Merab Turava hold the meetings at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. The prospects of future cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Georgia and Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in the research and educational direction was the subject of the meetings.
